At the forefront of innovation as always, LX Hausys recently introduced two new products. First HIMACS Ultra-Thermoforming, an innovative formula that pushes the boundaries of solid surface shaping to a whole new level, with 30% more thermoplastic capabilities - the biggest innovation for the Solid Surface history since its inception in 1967. Now, HIMACS Intense Ultra, combining the characteristics from two disparate worlds: Intense Colour Technology and Ultra-Thermoforming.

HIMACS is a Solid Surface product composed of acrylic, minerals and natural pigments combined to create a smooth, non-porous, thermoformable and visually seamless surface.

HIMACS meets the highest standards for quality in all respects: material performance, fabrication, functionality and hygiene. These qualities, coupled with outstanding flexibility in fabrication and design, means HIMACS offers countless advantages over conventional materials.

Although HIMACS is almost as robust as stone, it can be worked in the same way as wood, using conventional carpentry tools. It can be sawn, routed or drilled. Thanks to new ‘Thermalcure’ technology the surface of HIMACS performs better than the standard in Solid Surface, saving precious time thanks to its simple processing qualities.

HIMACS allows for visually seamless fabrication. Smooth integration creates large areas without visible joints or edges as well as the flush mounting of bowls. This results in extremely hygienic, easy-to-clean installations, ideally suited for use in hospitals and laboratories.

Through a simple heating process, HIMACS boasts three -dimensional thermoforming capabilities, enabling greater forming flexibility compared to other conventional materials, so that spectacular ideas can quickly take shape.

HIMACS Ultra-Thermoforming allows the material to be better shaped: the minimal internal radius of 6mm (previously 50mm) opening a whole new dimension in design.

Certain colours and thicknesses of HIMACS exhibit a subtle translucency when back or underlit so the translucent properties of HIMACS make it the perfect choice for lamps and illuminated furnishings.

Colour selection is a crucial factor when it comes to high-quality design so HIMACS offers an enormous range of colours. And, no matter what colour you choose HIMACS remains 100% homogeneous.
